The Computer Weekly Developer Network is off to Washington DC for Nutanix .NEXT 2025, held from May 7-9, 2025 in the nation’s (the US nation, obviously) capital.

As always, the event will feature executive keynotes, company news, customer and partner connections, hands-on labs and sessions that explore the hybrid multi-cloud landscape.

Why get into hybrid multi-cloud infrastructure tooling right now? Because, says Nutanix, these are the technologies underpinning artificial intelligence as cloud-native applications continue to revolutionise IT strategies.

For developers

The company is upbeat about the diversity of its event’s attendee base i.e. with developers and other IT professionals at the fore, the conference is also aligned to the interests of industry executives and thought leaders who want to explore the future of edge, data center and cloud infrastructure.

Attendees can get information on emerging trends (spoiler alert, AI will be in there and there will be plenty of agentic functionality on show as well) and best practices to optimise application and data management.

The message from Nutanix is… an ability to simply, securely and seamlessly run anything, anywhere.

The event will feature expert-led sessions and speakers including:

  • José Andrés – Chef and restaurateur (yes, a chef, but one with a wider message it appears) and author of Change the Recipe.
  • Evy Poumpouras – Former special agent with the U.S. Secret Service, broadcast TV host and Author of Becoming Bulletproof.

Attendees will hear from Nutanix customers, including Micron, Military Sealift Command & the U.S. Navy, and Tractor Supply, who will share real-world success stories and best practices for using Nutanix solutions to realise value from enterprise AI anywhere; to simplify VM-container convergence with one platform to run apps and data anywhere; to enhance resilience, security and operations for the most critical and sensitive apps and data.

President and CEO Rajiv Ramaswami, as well as other Nutanix executives, will take the stage to share the latest news in hybrid multi-cloud, cloud-native applications, and generative AI.

Attendees will gain a clear vision of how Nutanix is driving transformation for CXOs, infrastructure and operations teams, cloud architects, and platform engineers through the Nutanix Cloud Platform and strategic partnerships.

Attendees will have the opportunity for hands-on labs, education courses, certification opportunities, and a broad range of expert sessions including: AI and ML in the enterprise; datacenter, edge and hybrid cloud; cloud-native applications; databases and business-critical applications; unified cloud management; migration to Nutanix; networking security for the modern cloud era; hyperscalers and service provider clouds and end user computing.

Nutanix uses its official communications functions to switch up the colon use and write cloud-native multi-cloud as multicloud, perhaps to signify that there is unification here on offer for users who choose to go the Nutanix route, let’s get into the event to look for more.
